Marjorie R. Grant is a certified public accountant with over thirty-five years of combined experience in both public and industry accounting.
Her industry experience includes supervising and administering audits for several operating companies and entities, including one of the largest oil companies in the United States. She supervised all the construction and engineering audits for all operating companies throughout the United States, including Alaska's Prudhoe Bay operating and Lisburne oil fields. In addition to her audit assignments, Marjorie managed the Accounts Payable Department.
She also represented the company at many universities in the South as a visiting professor in accounting and auditing.
Before that, she was employed by two of the former “Big 5” accounting firms. In addition to her client commitments at that time, she assisted in recruiting the top students from major universities to work at Arthur Anderson, one of the former “Big 5” firms.
In addition, she assisted managers in the implementation of the then "Transaction Flow Review" method of auditing, which today is enforced by the new requirements listed in the Statements on Auditing Standards; AU section 312: "Audit Risk and Materiality in conducting an audit" and AU section 314: "Understanding the Entity and Its Environment and Assessing Risks of Material Misstatement."
Ms. Grant is very active in community affairs and church activities. She has chaired the Membership Committee and was the Executive Board Member for "Free Arts for Abused Children." She is a member of both the American Institute of CPAs and the California Society of CPAs. Marjorie is also listed in Who's Who in California.
She is a graduate of Roosevelt University, holding both a Master of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Business Administration. Marjorie is certified to practice public accounting in California, Florida, and Illinois.
